She was especially happy to teach her children and grandchildren how to sew, cook and can different foods. Her apple butter and macaroni and cheese were famous. She loved roses, country music and back porch sitting. After fishing trips at the lake, Wanda was in charge of the fish fry. She always had a home cooked meal on the table and loved to play Wahoo and dominoes. In her later years, she enjoyed running around Edmond with her friends at garage sales and putting together puzzles. She was especially fond of her dachshund, Lucky. Born during the Great Depression, Wanda Jo was shaped into a strong, resourceful and faithful woman through God. She lived with an optimistic tenacity and grit. She loved her children and grandchildren; her family was her pride and joy. Nothing was more special to her than providing an open home to her family and friends. People will remember her fondly for her sassy sense of humor and honesty.
