Telesforo "Tony" Solis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Telesforo “Tony” Antonia Solis was born September 14, 1939 in Brownsville, Texas to Telesforo and Maria Solis and went to live with our Heavenly Father on October 31, 2020, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He will live forever in our hearts and will be missed by all his loved ones. Tony was in the United States Air Force for 21 years and 8 months as a TSGT Jet Engine Technician. After retiring from the service he worked for AT&T Technologies and Tinker Air Force Base for 10 years. Tony married the love of his life Norma Wilhoite on November 24, 1960 and shared 60 wonderful years together. They fell in love at first sight with each other in Maryville, Tennessee at Rexall Drug Store where Norma worked. He was stationed in New York in a little town of Plasberg. He hitched all the way to Maryville to visit his sister, Syvia Blackmore and his mother who were visiting from Brownsville, Texas. Tony’s family always came first, they were the love and joy of his life. His favorite thing to do was watching football, his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, believe it or not he loved to go shopping and to travel. Tony had several collections of knives, toy cars, toy planes, and beer mugs. He loved classic movies and western movies. Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Telesforo and Maria; and his son, Timothy Solis and wife Briget. He is survived by his wife, Norma Solis; daughter, Tammy Arnold and husband Michael; granddaughter, Taylor Wylie and husband Brett; and grandson, Dakota Solis; sister, Syvia Blackmore, Rose Warden, and Irma Walk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you for the beautiful memories my darling. I will meet you again, my love in Heaven with our loved ones that have gone on before us. Until then, my darling husband your loving wife, Norma. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Tony will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Dick Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8.
