Nettie Eaton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nettie Lou Eaton passed away peacefully June 19th at her home surrounded by her family, after a long battle with ALS. She was born on January 10th, 1936 in El Reno, Oklahoma to James and Ella Moody. She was a graduate of El Reno High School. After graduation, she married Chester Eaton on September 6th, 1953. Aside from some time away on Chester’s military assignment she lived the remainder of her life around their family farm west of El Reno. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Calumet. Through the years she had several jobs outside of the home, but was most often found helping out on the farm, and was always the ultimate homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was evident through her constant presence and her unending support and encouragement. Some of Ned’s favorite things included: family gatherings, playing cards and games, attending her family's sporting events, spending time in her yard, tending to her flowers, cooking for others, traveling to Branson, shopping with her girls, Thunder basketball, and Friday Beauty Shop days. She had a contagious smile and was truly a joy to be around. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; James and Ella Moody, brother, Jim Moody and sister, Mary Sue Good. She is survived by her husband Chester, whom she was married to for 67 years; daughter Cindy Przekurat and husband Ken of Mustang; son Gary Eaton and wife Dayna of Calumet; daughter Karen Olson and husband Rick of Mustang; brother Jerry Joe Moody of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Brian Meschberger and wife April, Kyra Oldham and husband Stacy, Paris Przekurat, Garrett, Emily and Allison Eaton, Mike Fowler and wife Teresa, Lisa Dean, Dylan Olson and wife Danni; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brayden, Landry, Caleb, Laken, Luken, and Addison Meschberger, Connor and Katelyn Oldham, Emori Pettit, Payton Haskins, Balin and Braxton Fowler, Andie Garner, Wyatt, Bella, and Josie Dean; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m at the First Christian Church in Calumet, officiated by Tim Clausing, burial to follow at Red Rock Cemetery. The family will greet guests for a visitation that will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Christian Church in Calumet, the Red Rock Cemetery, or Russell-Murray Hospice.
