Marilyn “Katy” Kay Wilds was born March 4, 1942 in El Reno to Raymond and Opal (Swaffer) Arnold and passed away March 29, 2021 in El Reno. Marilyn grew up in Calumet, OK where she graduated from high school; Following high school she attended Draughn’s Business School. On March 13th, 1964 she married M.G. “Chigger” Wilds and together they shared 57 wonderful years. The two of them enjoyed farming together for over 50 years and loved spending time with their family. Marilyn and M.G. were members of at Putnam City Baptist Church. Marilyn worked at a print shop in Oklahoma City and as a bookkeeper at Kelso’s in El Reno. She also worked as a cashier at Wilds’ Restaurant and drove a school bus for Riverside School for 41 years. Marilyn loved driving the bus and especially loved driving her John Deere tractor. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Opal Arnold. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, M.G. Wilds, of the home; daughters, Rebecca Cobb and husband Steven, of Tulsa, and Susan Bollinger and husband Jeremy of El Reno; four grandchildren, Emily Matson and husband Nathan, of Friona, Texas, Kaelyn Bollinger, of El Reno, Madison Bollinger, of El Reno, and Ben Cobb of, Lubbock, Texas; sister Cathy Arnold, of El Reno; brother, Bruce Arnold and wife Marilyn, of Calumet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Marilyn "Katy" Wilds will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday April 1, 2021 at Putnam City Baptist Church (11401 N Rockwell Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73162). Burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery. Come and go viewing will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, March 31 from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Family will be greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. In lieu flowers memorial donations can be made to Putnam City Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
