Marian B. Hale, 78, of El Reno, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2021. She was born to Everett and Marie Wilson in Abilene, Texas January 28, 1943. Her mother remarried Jess Cook during her teenage years. He took on the role of raising her and becoming a fateful guardian to her. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1961 and on June 1st, 1962, married her best friend from their kindergarten class of 1948, Joe Wendell Hale. Her and Joe had 2 sons, Joe H. Hale and John Brent Hale. Marian was a para-professional and a bus driver in the El Reno school system, working with multiple handicapped students. She received Teacher of the Year for her dedication to this program. Marian was an animal lover and an excellent artist. She especially loved painting portraits, animals and landscapes. She is preceded by parents, Everett and Marie Wilson, stepfather, Jess Cook, and son, John Brent Hale. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joe Hale. Son, Joe H. Hale. Two grandchildren, Hunter Ethan Hale, and Taylor Skye Hale. And one great-grandchild, Skyelynn Ray Hale. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Come and go viewing will be held at the funeral home Friday, December 17 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 19 from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Family will be greeting friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 19 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Katherines Drexel Retirement Center (301 W Wade, El Reno, OK 73036).
