Gloria Katherine Bleigh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gloria Kathrine Bleigh passed away June 9th, 2021, at the age of 86. Gloria was born to Talbert and Ella Grimes on November 11, 1934, on Kickapoo Street in Tecumseh, OK. Gloria and her family moved to El Reno, OK when she was 7. On August 9, 1952, Gloria married the love of her life Leslie Bleigh and the two had three beautiful girls Peggy, Kathy, and Gaylyn. In her downtime Gloria loved to crochet and do all kinds of crafts. She also loved to raise Canaries. Gloria was a part of Bible Baptist churches choir where she would also help with VBS for many years, and she loved it. Later in life Gloria joined the First Baptist Church where she was a member until she passed away. Gloria loved doing wonderful things with her family like camping at Sulphur or Turner Falls, OK or going to see shows in Branson, MO. Gloria loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. They say she made the pest pumpkin pie and lasagna. Gloria worked at The Center of Family Love for many years, after leaving the center she went to work for a group home where she worked until she retired. During her time working she also worked on the election board for many years. Gloria is preceded in death by her mother and father Talbert and Ella Grimes, husband Leslie Bleigh, and brothers Leroy Grimes, and Edwin Grimes. Gloria is survived by her daughters Peggy Vincent and Ed Lynch of El Reno, OK, Kathy and Rick Tomlin of Vian, OK, Gaylyn and Mark Reeves of Lawton, OK. Grandchildren Andrea Vincent, Elizabeth and Mike Fikes, and Matthew Hensley of El Reno, OK. Great grandchildren Zachary Woods of Tennessee, Micah and Alvis Hayden, Morgan Burkart, Emma Fikes, Izabelle Vincent, Aria Hensley of El Reno and Maddison Hensley of Lawton. Great grandchildren David and Marina Hayden of El Reno, and Zalee Woods of Louisiana. Also many, many nephews and nieces, along with many grand fur babies. Come and go viewing will be 1 to 6pm on Sunday, June 13th, at Wilson Funeral Home El Reno. A service celebrating Gloria's life will be at 2pm on Monday, June 14th, at First Baptist Church El Reno with burial following at El Reno Cemetery.
