Doris Jean Watts

June 17, 1941 - January 27, 2022

Funeral services for Doris Jean Watts of El Reno will be held Wednesday, February 2,2022 at 2:00pm at First Pentecostal Church of Good, under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home with a come and go visitation at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 8:00am-5:00pm. Doris passed away January 27, 2022 at Mercy Hospital OKC with her family by her side. She was born June 17, 1941 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Doris married her true love, Gene Watts, on December 23, 1955, a 65 year marriage before his recent passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents Lois and Mildred Powell, brother Johnnie Powell, and sister Carol Anne Williams. Doris is survived by her three children, son Danny (Vicki) Watts, daughter Debbie Grantham, and son Donnie (Lynn) Watts; five grandchildren Brandon (Leslie) Watts, Tiffany Grantham, Kyra Watts, Kyle (Misty) Watts, and Kailey (Shane) Smith; eight loving great grandchildren, Madison (Blane) Warner, Megan Watts, Braxton Ward, Dylan-Ryder and Weston Watts, and Kezzy and Liam Smith; also two sisters Sharon Walling and Shirley Black and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Doris worked briefly as a waitress in the El Reno are before becoming a very caring and loving homemaker to her husband, children, and especially all her grandchildren who she loved and spoiled very much. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God and a member of their Lady’s Club, one of which helped cook and fundraise for those in need because she was a very caring person. One of her pleasures was to have many family dinners. She loved cooking and baking and get togethers where she was usually the one laughing the most. Doris also loved traveling and camping but her greatest love of all was for her Savior Jesus who she would witness about quite often. She will be greatly missed.
