Bennie Lee Cullen Sr.

Bennie Lee Cullen Sr., loving father and husband, passed away on January 25, 2022. Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to parents Freddie and Edna Cullen on January 3, 1948, Bennie grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma. A proud Army Veteran, Bennie served his country in Vietnam as a mechanic. Once he was back home, he spent his teenage and early twenties carrying on with that career as a mechanic and eventually working as a farmer, which he did for over 20 years. He also worked for Canadian County as a heavy equipment operator/road grader for over 20 years and retired from this in February of 2020. Outside of work, Bennie enjoyed being outdoors. Between fishing and gardening, he found great joy in woodworking and building wood projects. He was a huge fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family including his two sons, Bennie Lee Jr. and Brian as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bennie is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Edna Cullen, his first wife Rachel Cullen, and a grandson Zachary Cullen. He is survived by his wife Barbara Cullen, sons Bennie Lee Jr. and wife Lisa, and Brian Cullen and wife Kelly, brothers Mike and Donnie Cullen, sister Lori Maselli, grandchildren Justin, Alisha, Nathan, Jacob, and Austin Cullen, and greatgrandchildren Braxton Haueh and Apala Cullen Valdez. A visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in El Reno, Oklahoma on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 1-6pm with family present from 3-5pm. Services will be at OKC Faith Church in Oklahoma City on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. with Military Honors to follow at the El Reno Cemetery.
